"I had just returned from overseas and had been looking for a car (or wagon really). I had browsed the yards through Hamilton and found a lot of the salesmen rude and somewhat pushy, one even said I sounded like an Aussie! Enough said... I called into Ideal Cars on the off chance that they would have a wagon to suit my needs. A Subaru Forester took my eye and stayed there. Shayne and I chatted and negotiated, he was extremely helpful and we found a good price and settled on it. It was easy to say the least to buy from there, and with the after sales service as a backup, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. My car is awesome and it loves to be driven. My girlfriend and I spotted a car we liked out of pure chance and we just had to have it (as you do). So yet again Daniel made it happen! Our car is excellent and we just love it. "For many months I was looking for a Nissan Mistral 2 door. I had looked at a heap on the net, however the one at Ideal Cars looked exactly what I wanted. By nature I am a very cautious person so when I contacted Shayne and told home I was unable to get up to view the vehicle due to work commitments, I asked all the obvious questions and he gave me an honest and genuine description of the Mistral. He arranged the cartage down for me and everything went perfectly. What I liked in particular was that there was no guarantee that the vehicle was like new and because of that I was prepared for the small faults that a vehicle of that age would have.
From my experience I would say Shayne is someone who is in business to sell cars but also to look after his customers. Thanks Shayne, much appreciated.

I drove past the car yard one day and saw a Legacy B4 Blitzen that I loved the look of. I called in and talked to Shayne who was very helpful. I slept on it for a couple of nights and then rang Shayne back about it. He told me that it had been sold. I was disappointed but Shayne told me that he had another car that I might love as much as that one. I went to the car yard and Shayne showed me a Legacy B4 RSK Ltd edition. I LOVED IT, and bought it. The whole experience of buying a car from Shayne was great. I never felt like he was doing the hard sell on me, he wanted me to buy the car because I wanted to, not because he wanted to sell a car. The after sales support has been fantastic and I have never felt like I was being a problem to them.

If you want to buy a car from someone who is happy to talk to you and help you and give you great service then I highly recommend Ideal Cars. I LOVE MY CAR."

 "I bought my 03 STI from Daniel at Ideal Cars in September last year. It is not only a great car but had an even greater price, at the time it was by far the best valued 03 STI on the market, with a very low mileage. So many people have been amazed at my story of hassle free purchase and even more so the follow up service. I quite often call in to see Daniel and Shayne to say hello or use there facilities.They have let me use tools and wash my car and even supplied the odd bit of professional advice. Daniel even invited me for a run in Maramarua Forest in his WRX Rally Car which I took full advantage of.

So when you buy a car from Ideal, it's not just about a sale then see you later, it is much more than that. "Ideal Cars, the name says it all! I have brought two cars from Ideal Cars and each time the team have given me a great experience. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but they found the one that was most suited to me. They found me new parts and helped swap parts from the old car to the new one, which made the process so much easier. They might not tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear when it comes to what's best for your car.

Andrew is technical support who helps with all your mechanical needs and a Subaru guru - who I use to my full advantage.

Daniel deals with my paperwork and customer service and does a damn good job at it. Shayne the owner is always so welcoming and even offers me a feed when I go in! Anytime I want I can go in for a chat, catch up on things or even use there equipment to wash my car.

"I thought since I was looking through the website trying to find something for a friend I'd send you a quick blurb...

Fast, friendly, excellent service...from test drive to drive away was 4 hours, including finance, rego and transferring personal number plate. Plus 6 months after the purchase they still take the time to answer any questions and help me just as much, if not more, than most car dealers would when they are only trying to make a sale. I would always recommend them as a first choice to anyone buying a car."

"I have just successfully brought my 5th car from Ideal cars. Anytime I can, I refer my friends and family - and i get $100 for every successful referral purchase - who else does that? I very much doubt I'd go elsewhere as I know i will always be getting a great deal on a reliable vehicle, whether it is an economical run about or a performance car.
